About Rick Ernst

I am excited to announce that I am transitioning from Title Insurance into real estate! Many of you probably already know me.

After a long career serving both Vilas and Oneida counties, I had the opportunity to sell VILAS TITLE SERVICE, INC. and switch gears to a field I am very familiar with. Over my 40 plus years owning and managing Vilas Title, there is a good chance that I was involved with your real estate transaction, refinance or helping solve a complicated title issue. During my tenure at Vilas Title, I participated in over 50,000 real estate transactions of various degrees and difficulties.

This new chapter in my professional journey will allow me to continue serving you and our community in a new and expanded capacity. This transition has lead me to become a newly licensed real estate professional and joining the team at Century 21 Pierce Realty in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin.

As a real estate professional, I will be able to provide you with comprehensive services and expert guidance throughout the home buying and selling process. My experience in Title Insurance and closings has given me a unique understanding of the complexities of real estate transactions and I am confident that this knowledge will serve me well in my new role.

While in the title industry, I developed a solid reputation for going above and beyond to provide a smooth and successful close. Working in partnership with local Realtors, lenders, and attorneys, I am familiar with the many ins and outs of bringing a deal to a successful close. I now look forward to provide that same level of representation to my real estate clients and customers, working in cooperation with our area professionals to provide the very best experience in real estate possible.

As true local to the northwoods, I have a unique knowledge, understanding and appreciation of our beautiful lakes, surrounding forests and woodlands. I grew up on the Minocqua chain and relocated to Presque Isle almost 20 years ago. A Lakeland High School graduate, including 3 generations of Lakeland Alums. My education includes a BFA from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire. In addition, I was the Head Coach for the Lakeland Wrestling team and involved with the Lakeland Wrestling program for 12 years. My interests include being an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, recreational water enthusiast, enjoy kayaking, canoeing and downhill skiing.
